Diane Bounds
Mark Bounds grew up in a family floor covering business in Bloomington, Indiana where he was able to learn the installation trade at a young age. After marrying Diane Bounds in 1979, Mark moved to Austin, Texas and continued to install flooring for local residential stores. With focus on installation work that he could guarantee, after 13 years, Mark transferred his residential expertise into the commercial flooring arena when he founded Guaranteed Floor Covering Service (GFCS) in June of 1993. From its inception, GFCS was founded on the principles of honesty, hard work and family. Mark understood that a strong family environment builds a strong team and he maintained that atmosphere throughout his business relationships as well. These attributes have helped make GFCS a premier floor covering enterprise and although Mark passed away in 2016, his legacy continues at GFCS today through his wife, two sons and long time employees.
